daily I'm constrained to be.
Let thy goodness, like a fetter
bind my wandering heart to Thee!"

"...without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin." (Heb. 9:22)

Here is a link to a great blog post by one of my Christian brothers. It's about the remission of our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ...something that I know that I am quick to take advantage of. But when you take it in, and really believe on the sacrifice made for us on the cross...wow, it's powerful. And it's the ONLY way to live the transformed life of a child of God, through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. It is the very weapon that we use to fight the bondage of sin...it is what brings us VICTORY!

Leviticus 5:11-13
"But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering....."
Flour will do just fine.

Think about Cain's offering and Abel's offering in Genesis 4.

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?"
"I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?"

The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth."

You can offer your flour or "fruits of the soil"
and take your chances "if you are not "ABLE" to afford the better sacrifices. If you are "ABLE" to offer a better sacrifice, you must do so. God knows the difference. As Cain's brother once said,
"I am Abel!" But do not forget, a "better sacrifice" has been offered and accepted on your behalf. By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
By one sacrifice Jesus has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. Christ did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.
